LOG comes to Myrtle Beach
Ok. So I'm reading the Sun News and wouldn't you know the media whore, "LOG" (Lindsey Olin Graham...get used to that...I'm going to use it alot) paid the lowly people of Myrtle Beach a visit. Initially, he was going to charge those who wanted to be graced by his presence $5/person or $20/family, but he must have caught some kind of grief over that as it was taken off his website. Ok, I've skidded off track...As I perused the article, which, much to my amazement, was actually written quite well considering how liberal the Sun News has become, I happened along a quote which, at first glance, sounded totally "LOG". The more I reread the quote, the more frustrated I got...What was the quote you ask...Glad you asked...Here ya go:

So, I wrote in to the Sun News...but I thought I'd share my musings with my network friends...
Well, isn't this interesting. "LOG" thinks his only "problem" is change in the White House. Has he forgotten how poorly he's treated the Veterans? He's told them he's tired of them showing up to his office, on an INVITED meeting I'll add, and asking for handouts. Our wonderful Veterans, who have served this country faithfully & without question, are being denied benefits. After fighting months, if not years, they are finally awarded minimally. They are then corralled into substandard facilities with waits as long as 18 months.
And the GI Bill…let’s talk about that. You want to split the meaning of the GI Bill…We promise those who sign on the dotted line they will receive a college education. Now you want to deny them unless they serve MORE than the number of years they originally signed up for.
Failed Energy Policy…When "LOG" took office, gas was $1.35/gal. How do you like paying over $4.00/gallon now? We don’t want to hear how much the EU is paying per LITER; we are concerned about how we have to sacrifice between gas for our cars and food for our children.
Jobs…yes, I suppose you can tie that into Illegal Immigration…but can you say “DREAM ACT”? You were ready to give ALL the Illegals Amnesty PLUS the chain migration Amnesty (…yes, I suppose that would account for NO jobs for our children.) The month of May's unemployment had the worst percentage rate increase in over 20 years. Yes, the horizon is SOOOO bright! After all, "LOG" ran in 2002 on strengthening our economy.
The Bush stimulus package, which has had to be bolstered with a foreign government loan, has been given to the taxpayers in the form of a tax stimulus program, is by and far the biggest joke. Did y'all know it's taxable income? Don't forget to report it next year because, believe me, the IRS won't forget!!!
So, Mr. Graham. You think your only issue is "making a change in the White House"? Think again.
Yes, do vote Witherspoon on June 10th. After that, don't go Democratic...Have y'all forgotten about our Petition Candidate Mayor Mark McBride? He's currently working on getting 10,000 signatures to have his name placed on November's ballot AGAINST "LOG". He STANDS for the Vets. In fact, while the VFW was having their State Convention in Columbia, SC this past weekend, Mayor McBride was there getting signatures as well as speaking to the Vets and finding out what their needs are. In something normally unheard of, Mayor McBride was afforded the opportunity to speak before the VFW Joint Committee! This honor is generally only given to members of the VFW. And where was "LOG"? Oh yeah...he was in Greenville at a FUND RAISER BBQ – raising money - and then in Columbia at yet another FUND RAISER BBQ – raising money. (Did I mention he has already raised $8 million for this campaign? It’s the most money raised for this year's Senate reelection campaign in the U.S.) Could he not take a few moments of his time to visit that which he as supposedly supported? Apparently not.
Mayor McBride is also a family man; is "LOG"? (Saying you have family values gets put to the test when you can’t actually produce the family). Mayor McBride and his wife Laura just celebrated their 21st anniversary. They graduated their 1st of 3 children this past Friday. They know what it’s like to BE a family…walking out all the issues of a family; wondering how you are going to pay all the bills associated with raising said family, sudden or late night illnesses, emergency room visits, pacing the house on evenings wondering why your child is late for his/her 11pm curfew, report cards that could have been better, college searches, making sure your children are raised in Christ-Centered homes and helping them understand what Salvation is, etc. Now THIS is a family man.
Talk is cheap. Action speaks volumes.
